Frequently asked questions
- How do I pair with someone?
- Open the app, tap the Invite screen, and share your pair code (e.g.
HEARTH-42) — your partner enters it on their device. Or tap a https://smsky.app/join/CODE link from a chat to open the app with the code prefilled.
- How do I unpair?
- Settings → Unpair, or the Unpair button on your dashboard.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete my account. This wipes all your data on our server (profile, pair, photos, push tokens) and your partner is notified that the pair was removed.
- Why isn't my partner's status updating?
- Check that push notification permission is granted on both devices: Settings → Notifications → SameSky → Allow Notifications. The app also re-syncs when you open it.
- Why didn't I get a push notification?
- Push delivery is best-effort and depends on your device's network and notification settings. Open the app and the latest state will sync automatically.
- Can I change my pair code?
- Pair codes are generated once at registration and stay constant for your account. To get a new code, delete your account and re-register.
- Is SameSky available on Android?
- An Android version is in development and will use the same backend, so iOS and Android users will be able to pair with each other.
